"The Ghost!!!" Nice setup!
I have a question. Are you allowed to ride in the camper while the truck is moving?

Re:'03 Ram w/Camper Photo

I was in the back once while the truck was moving... for like one minute. And it wasn't a good time...My wife and I were preparring to get on the ferry to cross over to Vancouver Island. I had been driving and I asked my wife where the tickets were. She said in the camper. So I hop out, run around back and enter the camper. In the meantime my wife needed to move the truck up in line.

So there I am standing in the camper, I feel the truck pull forward a bit then WHAM!!!. I go flying a across the camper and land on the step up to the sleeper.

What happened? Well, my wife usually drives a car with a clutch. When she went to pull forward in line she reached over with her foot and mashed the brake pedal all the way to the floor as if she was pushing in a clutch. This needless to say brought us to a quick stop which is what caused me to go flying.

After that, I never had wanted to go in back while we were moving!

It is a safety thing, kind of along the lines of not being legal to ride in the bed of a pickup. You would be in a world of trouble in an accident.

However, back when it WAS legal and I was a little kid, I had a great time stacking blocks up and watching them tumble when we hit bumps or made turns. With a family of six and no such thing as a quad cab back then, we would have had to take two vehicles or seat six on the bench seat if we couldn't ride in the camper.

You might won't to check that, Yes you can ride in the camper while it is in motion, it's NOT a trailer. The safety thing has to do with the exhaust gas, in a trailer you would be breathing it in the whole time. In a camper the exhaust comes out the rear of the truck.
To my knowledge there is no state the restricts you from riding in a slidein camper. It just like riding in a Class C/A motorhome.

i think around here,it's a seat belt issue...no factory supplied seatbelts,no passengers riding in that location....
