I will say the majority of cracked dashes I've come across and thats Nissan,G.M.D.C. etc had slimey stuff all over them. There were lots of Tech memos from manufactures to use NOTHING on dash area as it collects and holds heat, promotes cracking. Put Armour All on a small area in sun light then touch that area.It will just about burn your skin off.

I have to agree with that.and also see that once you stop using armorall the piece will die much quicker.

I went to Pep boys and ordered a dash mat!!! VERY cheap insurance to cover a !!!$1600 part???!!! any way, matched the color and fits real nice. Only like 29 bucks. Also when I was high school, I worked for a car wash, you know the one that you pull up to and let them take your car and do the works. I saw our regular customers who got armorall on everything dash, tires, trim and after a few months they were all faded or cracked. NO ARMORALL FOR ME EVER!!!

What should you use the clean the dash? I have been using armorall but i guess i will stop...

When i say armorall, all i use is the armorall cleaning wipes, is this just as bad?

I've used armorall on my dash since the day I bought it. 114k, never kept in a garage and the dash looks like it did the day I drove it off the lot. Paint looks like crap now, but the dash looks good.

I wouldn't put anything on the dash. I use a clean damp tee-shirt.

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant about every three or four months on everthing not metal or cloth.

3 1/2 years, never in a garage and almost always in South Texas sun all day, every day. Mine looks good as new.
