I am looking for a way to get a winch mounted to the front of my truck without having to buy an aftermarket (read: heavy!) bumper. I have no problem with fabricating a fully custom mount and I'm interested to see what others have done with a mostly stock front bumper in place. PLEASE share pic's!

Also, I carry a big camper, so I won't be doing any hard-core "wheeling" or winching myself up the side of a mountain... But the truck/camper combo' is heavy and I can easily see getting stuck in mud or a rut. I'm currently looking at a 9000lb (Warn) winch.. Is that enough?

Maybe you should take a look at the Powerwagon and how they do that one from the factory which is hidden away... Also, you should have 1.5 times your weight. 9K winch is not nearly enough in my opinion.
