I bought a used 2008 6.7 with 28,000 miles on it. I got a Smarty S67 from a friend. He said he returned his truck to stock when he sold his. I hooked the smarty up and got a reading "Unknown Software" The dealership replaced the turbo at 60,000 miles and said they re-flashed the computer then. Any idea whats up?

This post is somewhat confusing. The Turbo was replaced at 60,000 miles but you bought the truck at 28,000 miles on it?
Ok what might have happen is the previous owner may have had a programmer installed and when dealer reflashed the ECM the owner could not remove the old program or he did not removed the program from the truck.

Thanks Jim. I got it figured out. The Smarty s67 did not have the current software updates. I did the updates on line and have now programmed the truck. Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately now it looks like my rear end is going out. I got a bad noise and metal in the lubricant.
