It overfuels the engine, makes lots of black smoke, does little for performance, makes a lot of 4-wheelers really mad at diesels pickups in general and draws a lot of un-necessary attention to an already threatened group of truckers, namely, us.
the smog checks and other restrictive laws are just looking for more public outcrys to stop those "gross polluters" from destroying our lungs. LOL

I enjoy a good smoky burnout on occassion at the drag strip (we raced a top alcohol dragster for years!) and a diesel smoking like a freight train is pretty cool I admit, but for the good of all of us, forget it...

Instead of the excess fuel burning which will lower your fuel mileage. Use the exhaust brake on your truck, let up on the accelerator pedal and let your truck slow down. But keep and eye on the rear view mirror to insure he doesn’t hit you, just like a brake check. Works all of the time they think the brake lights don’t work so they back off.

I think they can back off somewhat, another thing would be nice is a scrolling sign, that you could type messages to the tailgaters, I know I have too much time on my hands. I have had cycles 3-4ft behind me, at 55mph+, I'm glad I have never had to stop for something going on ahead of me. To me alittle smoke would be nice once and awhile, but thats my opinion.

Should be easy to read. The folks with switches typically run stacks. Bigunnnns....usually 2 - 55 gallon drums as tips. Just kidding.

its a switch you can install that taps into your manifold pressure sensor and tricks the ECM into thinking you have lots of boost at an idle so that it will dump a ridiculous amount of fuel into the engine when you tap the pedal just to make a whole lot of smoke.
