No worries. That's what the forum is for.
Besides, there's got to be more than the 3 of us still running the old Smarty tuners... 🙂

So you unzipped the file with the .7z file extension and saved the .smt file (me tune) to the hard drive right?
When you click on the .smt file windows should find the correct driver for it to upload it to the tuner.

If it doesn't then you could always try the smarty.exe available in the download section on madselectronics.com.
It should allow you to upload the file to the tuner unless there's a conflict with the operating system.

All deleted
but
leave the egr valve attached and baged and zip tied out of the way
and
leave the transmission air presure switch pluged in but disconnect the rubber hoses ?

You can remove the plunger from the egr actuator, reinstall the actuator and plug it in if you like.
Or if you're removing the egr valve then bag abd tie it up like you did.

DPF pressure sensor - you can just remove the rubber hoses and leave it plugged in.

This might give you an idea of the different ways to do it.

Thanks again for responding i baged and ziptyed the EGR And plugged in the trans air switch
but now getting a p-700 code
i ran it briefly and cleared the code but it keeps coming back
will it be ok to drive the truck as these codes cycle through ?
could a low battery voltage cause this p-700 code ?

Low voltage while loading a tune can cause errors in the load so make sure your batteries are at full voltage or have a battery charger hooked up to maintain the correct voltage.

As for the P0700 code, it shouldn't have anything to do with the tune and I couldn't tell you if it was safe to drive without knowing the actual TCM code(s).

With that said, what did you choose for the TQ (torque management)? If you chose anything other than stock then try setting it to stock TQ and see if the code will stay cleared.

Reload the tune again and select "stock" TQ. That will make sure there's nothing affecting the trans.

Please post here the tune your loading and the other 7(?) codes you're getting.

You shouldn't be getting any codes for the deleted equipment if everything is going correctly.

Dumb question time, were you getting any codes prior to deleting?

I was getting no codes before the delete .
however i did unhook the trans air switch and start the truck with it off and in the low battery condition .
i will as you suggest reload the tune tomorrow.
i am allso going to reset the transmission computer as well , i think i wiped its memories when i unplugged it and started the truck so will reboot it as well
