Smarty Help
I will be downloading the ME file tomorrow into my Smarty S-67 and I have a few questions prior to doing so.
1- Is there a separate file to download for the dpf delete from the egr delete?
2- Will there be an option in the Smarty to "turn dpf off" or "turn egr off", or will they both be automatically turned off after downloading the file?
3- What's the difference between the REVO file download and the TNT file download?
4- What kind of cord/cable do I need to hook the Smarty to my PC and where does it hook into the programmer?
I'm sorry for so many questions especially being a new member.... this Smarty is just really confusing to me. Thanks so much in advance for any help you can be!

I cant be of help for some of the questions cause my Smarty ME version was downloaded by the vendor for me. I heard its a pretty confusing thing to do. But once you download the ME version that will be good for your truck with deletes.
As for the wires the kit cmes with everything you need. It pluhs into the OBDII port under the dash near your left knee.

once ME is downloaded, it automatically shuts DPF and EGR off. there is no separate file or option to shut these systems down.
to update smarty, you will need a USB/Printer cable. check your printer as you may already have the cable so no need to go buy another. just unplug printer and plug into smarty and update
don't do TNT until you have more supporting mods as it will kill your transmission (unless you have a manual as your signature does not state auto or manual). REVO has settings to adjust turbo actuation (1-4 settings for turbo agressiveness

Thank you so much for answering all of my questions! You've shed light on a new one though. What does the Turbo actuator do and why would I need to adjust it and what should I adjust it to?

The VGT adjustment is used to adjust the response of the turbo to throttle. 2 is the default setting and is a marked improvement over stock but not too aggressive. 3 is less responsive made for heavier towing and mileage. 4 is peak responsiveness with the most responsive turbo boost available. I have tried 4 and it does boost quicker, but I didn't notice any change in power. As it sits now I use the 2 default setting and it works the best for me towing and empty.
So to be really clear....I cannot install Smarty Jr ME but leave the EGR and DPF on till I have the time to turn the wrenches? On the MADS website link about the Smarty JR ME it made it sound like there was an ON/OFF option.
I was hoping to install the tuner one day, delete EGR another, delete DPF another.

There is no switch. You need to change programs. Get the S version and leave your equipment on, then when you are ready to delete, download the ME version and go. This is the way I did it originally. But, should have just deleted from the very very start...
download to Smarty
OK, I know this sounds dumb....... However, how do I download an update to the Smarty box. I have run the drivers for the box and downloaded from MADS. How do I copy the Update to the Smarty box?
Thanks!
Thanks!
