Is propane the answer to safe power?

Any one using propane? Can I look for big power from an install? Any important mods to make before going that route?

Propane can melt pistons IF you use a lot of it.
It is best to use it as a mileage improver only, on the street.

Propane

I've been using propane on my '05 and am quite pleased with it, especially since propane is less than half the cost of diesel here (45.9/liter). I have the MSD/Superchips kit and currently have it set for zero boost and 40% since the price of propane dropped and diesel increased. When I had it set at 2 lbs boost and 30%, I would get 33 mpg diesel and 70 mpg propane (imperial measure, hand calculated) and that combination was still less expensive than straight diesel. It runs great and the only thing I've noticed is that it will smoke a bit more than straight diesel, oddly enough, when you really put your foot in it. I have a Quad Zillaraider2, but turn it off when I'm on propane. The propane/Quad combo at 100% and level 4 was a little too crazy for me, and I don't want to chance any damage. I like it, but it may not be for everyone, especially if the price differential between diesel and propane is minimal.
