So I cut out my Cat and have a smarty that is supposed to fix everything. Every 5000 km when my oil change warning comes on my overhead console so does the CAT FULL message then it pings at me.

Question:
- Is this normal and do I have to live with it beeping every 20 mins at 5000km?
- Is it best to delete it using smarty, can it be permanently deleted?
- Anybody know of a "Dodge Pedal Dance" or "Mash Button" to get rid of the error?

 

I have only gotten this one once, but havent had the S67 but 2000 miles or so. I just cleared it with the EJA. The Smarty would clear it find. Im not sure if it will be a permanent clearing.

Dance of the skinny pedal... I like that.


Maybe Chris (ratlratl) will chime in with some info. Hes had his for quite a while and I know he has dealt with other overhead messages.

 

Like I have posted in other threads about this. This is a known issue on these trucks with a Smarty. There is a timer/mileage indicator that is looking for a regen in so many miles or time. I think miles but not real sure. When a regen does not occur a warning appears saying Cat full see dealer now.
I clear this every 2500 to 3000 miles with a code reader. No other issue with my truck.
I am using the Smarty ME 14 software and have not upgraded to any later version, I have not seen a need to do so.

 

Newer releases of the ME software are supposed to take care of that problem. I am on V19.. Be warned however, once you go over 15, you can't go back due to the bootloader lock software check and latest flash to the ECM..
