Help? Smarty installed

I Have an 07 Dodge 6.7. By looking at the miles on it you can tell it is driven hard. At 117,000 I replaced the DPF. Everything was well and when I hit 170,000 The DPF was ready to be replaced again. Rather than replacing the DPF, I installed The Smarty and eliminated the DPF and its components. My truck has not been right since. I have had several codes that keep popping up. The Low Rail Pressure, the EGR, and an uknown 1011 codes keep popping up. I also keep having the overhead saying that the DPF is full and it needs regeneration and eventualy lose power.. I have not been able to figure out what is causing this. I would just erase the codes on the Smarty( the truck was lugging and jerking speratically) and keep trukin. At the moment, It has come to the point where I reset the smarty and I go down the road a mile or two and it keeps showing this code. The truck has no power it is jerking, lugging, and smoking. What Do I Do???

Did you download the ME software. If not download it. Then in the options section make sure you select to have the EGR/DPF off. Then load a tune. this should take care of the problems. Assuming that you followed Marcos instructions on the website.

They said they did the up date at Browns.
But it is still putting codes up.

It sounds like the DPF option was not turned off when they installed the smarty. Everyone that I know of that has had those codes and issues it came down to the wrong software or not correctly turning the dpf function off.

And make sure to follow the directions on smartys page for unhooking everything.

Silly question, but you DID straight pipe the truck when you installed the Smarty and shut off the DPF functions, right?

I had a simple question that I couldn't find in the install notes..

Do I need to unlock the Smarty before I update the software on it?

No, Smarty can remain VIN # locked for an SW update.

I'd highly recomend that you update your Smarty's to the latest "R12" software since it takes care of a lot of issues and is very refined.

Thanks,

Marco
