EGTs have been acting normal. I can reach 35psi at WOT. Im gonna triple check everything and keep an eye on it. Maybe I just got a spastic gauge.

I think the probe placement is playing into your readings.

Did it do that before your black out button was installed? I don't think its the gauge.

Had the button before the gauges, when the EJA was installed. Just thinking, I put teflon on the boost bolt, wonder if maybe there is a thin layer over the intake of the bolt. Gonna pull it tomorrow and check.

That might be doing it.. But usually a blockage in the gauge port will just delay the gauge response not cause pressure oscillations.

I dont see any indication of a boost leak. Its got to be a kink in the tubing somewhere. Im gonna have to go over it again with a fine tooth comb. Wish I could find some good hard tubing and do it right.

Thanks what I was thinking. Seems like some kind of harmonic. Does it do it at partial steady boost or just when peaked out?

Played with it some more and now its changed the characteristics completely. Its like my gauge has Parkinsons now. Its slightly shaky at most boost readings and similar to what the vid shows at full boost.

Ive found some 1/8 copper tubing at the local hardware, gonna try to get it ran tomorrow.

Its gotta be a tubing/pressure delivery issue.

What tubing came with the kit? IIRC the tubing with the autometers is pretty stout stuff, nylon.. Copper might rattle.

Fair enough. could be a bad gauge too.

we run in to that same problem with some of our pumps when the sensing point is to close to the pump. what we do to fix it is to either put an orifice in line to smooth out the pulsing of the pump fins or some kind of volume bottle. it slows down gauge reaction time by a few milliseconds but gives a cushion to take up the pulse of the pump. if u had a kink in the line it wouldn't jump it would move really slow. another thing when u are using that small of tubing if it shakes to much it will make the needle jump. i would first try to cut your line and about midway between the intake and the gauge and install some sort of volume bottle.

and just where am i supposed to get a volume bottle????

you coming in, we will mess with it tomorrow if the new tubing doesnt fix it.

i have been looking for one out here but dont have any on the PF that i am on but we can use a 1'' pipe collar with a couple bushings in it to screw your tubing fittings into. you should only need a couple inches of air space to much air space will put lag in your gauge.

Sounds plausible, maybe shortening the line if possible would even work to smooth it out.

I hope to hear what resolves it.
