guages

Hey Blake that looks great, I just did a insight monitor and pillar mount, I like the looks of yours better but I had to go with what I could afford. Now the Smarty is next.

Believe it or not, that setup from the DTR store was right at 400 bucks.

Not much more than the Insight.

Thanks for the compliments fellas!

Got the rheostat in. Worked perfectly. Thanks LD

Might have found what was causing the issues with the boost needle. The ferule in the connection was seated kinda crooked and looked like it was pinching the line. Gonna get a new one at the hardware store in the a.m. Ill let yall know if it fixes it.

I hope you love the autometer guages as well as i do.. Ive had them in all my rigs ive owned and had nothing but good luck, Also i think they are the closest match to factory guages. where is you pyro probe mounted. did your cooler delete come with the plates that was tapped for the probe?

I do like them, they look great!

Nah, I had already tapped the manifold collector for the edge and have the probe installed there. I think its a more accurate reading that in the plates.

I put EGT where Blake did for my insight as well. I'm showing anywhere from about 600 to 800 crusing around empty and don't really see or let it go over 1000 to 1100 towing if I can.

Im seeing the same numbers as mega, with around 900 on a decent acceleration run and the highest Ive seen is 1300 WOT

The Edge vs Autometer numbers seem to be pretty close.

Hey, glad you got the dimmer thing figured. The boost problem shouldn't be too jumpy if its analog so the fitting makes sense.

Temps for me are alot like you guys. I have mine drilled just below #3 cylinder outlet and cruising temps are usually around 700-750 mark with no load at highway speed. I don't think I have got it over 1200°F since the deletes.

The boost gauge has smoothed out some, but is still a lil shaky when it peaks. double checked the line for kinks, there are non, gonna keep an eye on it.

Its not the best vid, but should explain better than words.

The needles sweep is smooth. But when It reaches a peak boost it sits and shakes or bounces.

Hmm. I see what you mean.. Do you hear any surge from the turbo? That is not typical pulsations, too low a frequency..

Also if the pyro gets pretty hot in a hurry, I wonder if you have a boost leak somewhere. I would check all the hoses, clamps and intake manifold horn for anything out of the ordinary.
