Finally did it!
Just pulled the trigger on a Smarty! Hurry up Lary and box that puppy up and ship it out.
Also ordered a egr and cooler delete and a throttle valve delete from James at Rollinsmoke.
I can't wait.

Just giving an update. Havent been able to do any MPG testing too much idleing and driving off road (pipeline right of ways)
Im running SW3 (99) with all revo's on 2 except for the VGT, thats on three.
So far I love it. Power is great and throttle response is outta this world. Have played with the Edge some, but Im using the Smarty timing and the Edge timing off, so, all the Edge does is make it smoke some and raise the EGT's. Not a real noticable gain when bumping up the Edge. May be different if I reversed the timing but Im enjoying the Smarty so much I dont want to mess with it.
I will say one thing. I got in some mud the other day (not intentionally, my tires are purt near bald...
) and had to open her up to get out.
Man does that 6.7 go to singing at around 3500 rpms. Makes my little heart flutter just thinking about it.

I love it! The Smarty coupled with the full deletes is the best thing I have done yet.
Up almost another 2mpg on economy and power in spades. And I havent even put it above SW3 yet.
Go ahead and get it, you wont regret it.

Blake;
I'm new here but your post on the Smarty and DPF delete motivated me to run out and buy a Smarty JR and a straight pipe (DPF Delete). Just got it put in and set the ECM to Power level 3 (Performance) seems quicker but didn't seem any louder.
Dana
09 Crew Cab, EGR Disabled but not blocked off (Yet) DPF Delete.

Dana,
Thats great! Youll enjoy the Smarty. It wont be much louder unless you do the full deletes (turbo back and egr and cooler), and even then its not overwhelmingly loud. I am running stacks so that does bump up the decibels. You will see a bump in the mpg.
I see your running an 09, looks like you lucked out on the pre March ECM.
And, Welcome to the DTR, lotta great people on here and all willing to help you out. If you have and questions, or just wanna shoot the breeze, we are all here.
Yes I Lucked Out
Blake;
I lucked out mine was built Jan 27th, don't have a clue what I'm doing yet but No Error Codes (Yet) so I might have got things in OK. Keeping my fingers crossed. So far I've just drove it around the Block and it seems faster we'll have to wait and see on the mileage. 1 question though, when I tow my 5er do I need to run in Tow mode or can I leave it in Performance?

Not real familiar with the JR but I assume that the tow mode is 40hp and the perfomance is the 70hp
I wouldnt tow over SW3 with a stock tranny and that is a 60hp tune. While the 40hp tune would be more safe, you could try the 70hp tune and pay attention to the skinny pedal application.
Just use good judgment, if it feels like its hurting the truck, it probably is.
On a side note, I did speak with Dave Goerends shop today. They do have a 68re tranny available. Was told it was good for 550+ hp. Gonna be looking into this towards the end of the year. Then the serious buildup can begin.
