EGT reading's
So what are the temperatures you guy's are getting with the SM JR. I have SW3, Timing 4, Tourque Default, Airbox mod with a K'n'N filter and deletes, still have the Cat though. At 1700 RPM and 110 KMPH with no load the guage reads around 700 F. with about 8-900 LB in the box it reads closer to 850 F. I haven't towed my trailer since the guage was installed so I'm expecting the temp. to go up. I read somewhere that 1200 F. was damaging, is this right? Also at Idle the temp. after a drive of 850 F. goes to about 400 F. when the start up idle is 300 F. I'm curious what the stock temps. are as well. Cheers

Your EGT's seem to be in line with what I see on my 2006 Dodge CTD CR with a Smarty stacked with a TST.
A safe "guide" is not to let your EGT's exceed 1300 degrees if your probe is in the exhaust manifold and 1,000 degrees if the EGT probe is in the downpipe.
I would try hooking a trailer with a load and see what happens too. I am guessing the EGT's will go up higher then.
Hope this has helped you some Sir!

I hit 1250 sometimes when towing before I down shift or my trans does on a hill/grade. I try not to let it get over 1100 though before I down shift. Cruising, I am at about 850 to 950... No wonder I only get about 9 or 10 MPG towing... I don't get much of a chance to see what it is unloaded cause I hardly ever drive it unhooked. I'm going to make it a point to pay attention unhooked.
My 6.7 runs around 900 on flat ground at 70, but rarely ever gets over 1250 even when pulling hills with a load.
My convertor will shudder before it will lug hard enough to get the egts too high. So because of that I keep the rpm's up when towing resulting in lower egts.
