DPF delete and fuel economy

For everyone who has done the dpf delete kit. How much did your fuel economy rise or lower? I've heard both, some got way better and some worse. What happened with you?

Better

I got 2-3 MPG better with the EGR & DPF deletes. All of my driving is mixed hwy & city, with and without the trailer.

I am very happy with my mods. Wish I did them on day one.

Definate improvement 2-3 mpg. Mixed with more city and stop-n-go I hold 17.7 mpg. With factory was in the 15's for the same trip.

It surely is better. I've only attained some towing numbers thus far, but it is 1 to 2 mpg better towing than previoulsy with the emission junk and this is a very welcome increase. Instead of 9 or 10 on the overhead, I just got 11.5 on my first tow this weekend. I drive 65 to 70 and expect to get larger improvements when not towing.

i've only done an egr unplug to date but have seen a 2.5 mpg increase with pyrometer reading about 300 lower ans it seems to have a better throttle response... can't wait to add a dpf delete....

Same here. for the 2-3 mpg. Still was not great 13.5 city 15 hwy. Finally several weeks ago it seemed to break loose on the mpg after 25K miles on truck. Have been getting 15 city 18 hwy lately. Just got back from vegas almost 2000 miles and i avg 19MPG. Filled up as i left vegas and then once in Reno going to Corvallis or. About time , i could tell the difference in the engine response when my mileage improved.

The ME software is downloaded from MADS' website. However, many vendors offer to load the ME software for you prior to shipping. I like James at Rollin' Smoke Diesel, he's a good guy to deal with, but everyone has their individual preferences.

So you just unplug the egr or do you have to have something else?
