I just sold my 07 because of the trannny. It failed at 131k miles. The tranny burnt up for some reason. After our last snow storm (and plowing snow) the trans wouldn't shift correctly. It only had 1st, 4th and reverse. Took it to the dealer and a local rebuild shop and they both said it was burnt up and needed replaced. We also had to replace the sylanoid pack about 2 years ago ($700). I had a good offer and sold the truck as it was. Will never buy a Dodge truck for a work truck again as it's the 2nd that let me down (the other was my 05 that's on it's 3rd trans at 175k miles). Guess they can't handle pushing snow?

It isn't just the cost to the end buyer, but to Ram as well. And many buyers, let's call them "low information" buyers, do not know the difference and just see an extra $2-3k in cost. That can be the difference in buying Ford vs Chevy vs Ram for those that don't know and don't care. Similar to those that don't understand differences between gas and diesel engines and are not willing to educate themselves.
I had a discussion with someone not too long ago over towing horses. I am not making this up: "I will only use gas engines because diesels are too hard on the horses because of all that torque that jerks them around".
Now I ask you: How do you rebut that kind of logic?
It has been said, "Never argue with a fool; people may not know the difference."

Just got home last night with my new truck with the aisin transmission. I love it so far. To be fair, I can only compare it to the straight shifts because the 91.5 model is so noisy I can't stand to drive it.
