6.7L Chrome Valve Cover

Started messing around with some valve cover ideas to dress the girl up a bit under the hood. Didn't come out too bad. Always had a color theme under the hood and decided to try chroming the cover this time...

One of the shops that we do business with also does vacuum metalizing. I'm curious about the clear top coat that they apply to protect the finish. According to the plater it should hold up to underhood temps just fine.

That looks great!! Metalizing would be coating the plastic valve cover I assume? What is a ball park price on this procedure? Ohh and let us know how it holds up. Thats pretty sweet!

Yes, I coated a stock cover. Coating this cover ran $180. The coater waived the $500 minimum.
