6.7 valve springs in a 5.9
i was wondering if there would be any benefits of getting 6.7l valve springs and put them in a 5.9
this is the first time i have thought about doing this kind of mod
what is needed to do the swap
is there also any other valve springs that are good
i would like to beable to run at least to 4300 rpm
i still have stock cp3 and injectors
thanks
hope you can help me out

you would be better off too get yourself heavy duty springs from F1 or another source such as them....from what i understand the 6.7L springs are really no different than the ones in the 06-07 5.9L

i wouldn't count on turning 4000 rpm with 6.7L springs....like i said stick with tried and true things when you want too do things like spin an engine 800-1000 rpms past its designed limit!!! I would rather somebody by the f1 springs knowing they work, and wondering if the 6.7 springs would work versus putting in 6.7 springs and finding out it wont work knowing the f1's would!!!

The same valve spring for the 5.9 is used in the 6.7 engine also, many of the components carried over from the 5.9 to the 6.7 engine. the valve spring part number is 3943161

The exhaust brakes from factory are set for a relatively low psi... I run 60psi at 2800RPM on mine and did so with the stock springs (Cummins recommended max). Dont think there is anything special about trucks that came with an exhaust brake as far as springs go.
Think some 12Vs may have had to upgrade to a heavy duty valve springs to use one...
