6.7 deletes, does the engine oil stay cleaner?

im getting myself talked into doing the deletes on my 08 (if i didnt have a few speeding and seat belt tickets lately i would be done them already). the thought i had run through my head is that if the egr is disabled or removed does the engine oil stay cleaner longer like my thought process says it should?

thanks in advance guys

I just did my second oil change after doing the full deletes on my '09, and finally my oil did not turn black by the time it ran down into the pan.
I have about a week on it so far, and it is still golden brown.
It certainly makes me feel a lot better seeing the oil stay clean a lot longer.
There are many, many reasons to delete, with cleaner oil just one of them.

Scott.

Yes, the oil will be cleaner you will have less fuel and soot in the oil with the deletes.
I have attached a copy of my latest oil analysis from a Cummins Lab for you to review.

Far cleaner.. with the OEM system the oil was sooty black as soon as you changed it. After the deletes I have the oil I wanted, nice and brown with little soot in it.

I did my first oil change after the deletes recently and it is all ready much cleaner! I love it. And, it doesn't increase in level now due to dilution.

The oil gets dirty from the late firing injection event on the 6.7L The H&S tuner removes that event and there is less fuel build-up in the crankcase. I have 8000km on my oil and it almost as clean as the day it went in.

With the H&S programmer you can remove/unplug the egr, the air horn butterfly, egr cooler valve. I still haven't removed my egr or my egr cooler. Been waiting for my custom air horn to get done, so I can do a bunch of stuff all at the same time. I'm just going to use a 2nd gen 24V exhaust manifold and just remove my egr cooler/6.7 exhaust all as one unit. Typically the aftermarket exhaust systems for the 2nd are cheaper than the 3rd gen stuff. I'm going to run either a GT3788R or a S366 on the 2nd gen manifold. Been finding that these VGT turbos are awful on the 6.7L
