08 whistle and smoke

08 whistle and smoke

i just got an '08 quad cab and have only put wheels and tires. i want it to whistle and smoke like crazy any suggestions?

Well, you can forget about the smoke. The DPF system on your truck will not let it smoke, and if you remove it you will loose your warranty, make the truck illegal on the street, wont be able to get it inspected, and probably have some ecm issues.

You can put an intake system on and you will be able to hear the turbo more.

You can burn a tire in the bed if you want lots of smoke!

There is no silencer ring to remove on the HE351ve, which is the stock 6.7 holset turbo on 07.5+. If you look at the intake side, you will see why.

Ya' got to wait a bit while performance guys figure the 6.7 out, I would guess. When they get figured out, I bet people start making nice, big, reliable power. Put the DPF system in the garage or attic. I can't wait to see what the Smarty does, if they can get it out. I know it is hard to wait, especially when ya' got to cruise around w/stock power.

Lets see a photo of that bad boy!
