Are you using Geno's Muffler Elimination Kit?

I think for now I'm going to leave my Cat in place and delete the muffler. I use my truck to travel & pull a 5th wheel. From what I have found out deleting the Muffler and leaving the Cat I should not get the drone sound when pulling.
Is anyone running the stock exhaust with the Cat still installed and using the Geno's muffler elimination kit?
If so can you give details about the:
Installation? Sound? Performance? Exhaust Temps?
If you have suggestions for another muffler elimination kit I sure would like to hear about it.....Thanks

I have the Genos muffler delete.

Install: the most difficult part about the entire thing was removing the muffler. I took my time because I wanted to save the muffler for future use if ever needed.

Sound: I think it sounds great. Almost like a big rig truck.

Performance: Did not really feel any performance gains. Probably because my truck is still mostly stock.

Exhaust temps: They probably went down 50 to 100* on the highway. I can't really remember what they were stock, but I do know they went down a little.

I love it. I would do it again in a heartbeat, plus it's a ton cheaper than buying an entire new exhaust. The only thing I did was I bought some band clamps to hold the pipe on better. I did this because using the supplied clamp and the stock clamp for the muffler it would bend the pipe when it was tightened. (Sounds confusing, but I put a band clamp at each end of the pipe, and then I used either the supplied clamp or the factory one and tightened it and attached to the factory hangar). The band clamps are real easy to use, and if I have to remove anything I can without worry.

I had one for a while...

Didn't notice any change in exhaust temps, but it did sound louder, a bit harsh maybe?

No major drone, not like I have with the Donaldson M090535.

I have the ME kit from Geno's. Personally I love it. Not too loud but a more deeper growl. EGT's are lower but not by more that 100 deg. I tow frequently and have not noticed any annoying drone...

I used the RPM muffler delete pipe, CAT still installed. Unloaded and not towing anything it sounded really nice. However loaded heavy or pulling 7K trailer I got significant drone. So much so, constantly triggered wife's migraines. I now have a 5"X51" FloPro muffer and do not get any drone at all while towing. The RPM pipe is collecting dust in my garage...

Well I Put the pipe on and I cant even tell I did anything from inside the truck except at WOT. No drone in the cab. decent sound at idle. Im happy with it. Took me an 1hr in the driveway. make sure you have a new 4" clamp before you start, they only give you one with the kit.

Sounds good. I ordered my muffler delete pipe today. With any luck I'll have it on by the weekend....

Did mine last week. Sound's great no drone as of yet as I havn't towed with it yet but it does feel more responsive. I did feel as if it was about 3" too short.

I ran that for about 9 months... Entirely too loud when towing. It was very annoying above 2K rpms. Now I run a Donaldson 40" in place of the cat. the Muffler elim kit is still installed. It sounds much better when towing. I am putting a megacab resonator on next week to kill the exhaust brake high freq.

Great sound on Mega cab's with the factory resonator. I actually prefer the sound of my wifes truck over my 5" exhaust.

I have the RPM's but I have ordered the Flowmaster Hushpower Pro Series. I will probably remove the inards out of Garfield and see how it sounds.
