Could ****** Whistler homemade filter cause too much restrction versus stock air box? Reason being is i added ****** whistler the same day i added the edge juice attitude. now i see HIGH EGTS and LOW boost (23 psi)max. Edge told me its got to be my turbo or air leaks? Even on setting 0 stock i can see egts as high as 1400F. Edge asked me what kind of filter i had.

The thing is I know ****** Whistler isnt as pretty as a AFE stage 10 or whatever, but what restriction do u think it has? It has to be better than stock right?Would it be the blue amsoil prefilter sock on the intake restricting my filter?

any1? I mean i dont want to sound stupid but it should be better than stock right? Would the MASS flow sensor be out of wack now due to the increased air flow causing high egts?

 

no MAF. it is intake air temp. it would not create any restriction unless the filter was dirty. you are increasing diameter of tubing. did you gut the x out of the straight tube and kill the white thing out of the elbow?

 

have you checked all of your intercooler boots for any tears or loose connections?

 

yes i checked all boots. i tore out all white stuff except elbow because it kinda guides air into turbo.

My egts have been fine for over a year with that intake....the ONLY difference is yours has the amsoil pre filter..but I highly doubt that is the problem...I think EDGE is your problem........have you taken the edge off your truck completely??? unplugged it completely???I have not even cleaned my filter since I installed it and my EGT's fine...sell the edge and get a Smarty
