I love my ****** whistler. it saved me so much money. anyways theres another post about how bad the eaau filters are from amsoil and how restrictive they are. does any1 with a whistler run the restriction indicator and does it trigger it ? i dont use my filter minder so.....I wonder if theres a replacement cone filter that i can use for my whistler? i need something with a 6 inch inlet

 

k and n have a similar replacement.some have told me k and n suck for diesels

I dont have a "****** whistler" but i have something similar. I made an intake out of 5" aluminum pipe that is bent at 90 deg that has a 6" filter adapter, i have been running the k&N and to my knowledge its been pretty good as i had 1mpg increase and much better trottle response on my 07 megacab. But then again i dont run the filter minder. I guess i will try to replace it with an afe and check for diffrences.

 

ill keep the amsoil yet. i dont know what i should try next. how long should the amsoil eaau6080 last?how do u guys clean yours?
