I see "WOT" all over these forums and have not been able to figure out the meaning

 

wide open throttle

 

WOT=fun for me.

I used PTTM (petal to the metal) a couple of times, but I dont think most figured it out. I guess that shows my age.

 

You mean it doesn't mean "Wild Open Terrain"?

 

W= Wide
O= Open
T= Throttle

OR

W= Where'd
O= Other
T= Trucks go

 

WOT=RFOF.......RFOF=right foot on floor..........right foot on floor=pedal to the metal!!!!

 

Or WFO. as used in MY old motorcycle/hotrod days.

 

Funny how you don't see WFO these days? W= wide - F= f*****- O= open Is this what your thinken. Thats the way it was taught to me??!! WFO till you see the devil ,than brake!! Ahh the good old days! Hope nobodys offended!!

WOT, PTTM, RFOF, WFO... it's all the same, why we post on this part of the site

 

It's kind of ironic that you see WOT throttle all over these forums when diesels don't have throttle blades, Just a thought.

 

but we have a TPS that is controling our fueling... throttle position sensor... all it tells the ecm is what % of throttle you are requesting...
