That should work. Have you looked into HTT turbos? The same basic turbo form them is less money. They also have a 64/71/13ss which is in the price range and will move a little more air.

X2 on the 64/71/13 ss. I cant say enough good things about it. I can't wait to get on the dyno to see what kind of numbers I can put down.

I havent hooked up to anything yet but regular driving it shows no signs of being laggy.

Htt insist these turbos are no good for towing.I sometimes think they base all there input on a stock truck. They have never asked me what is done to my truck when inquiring abou the 62 or 64 ss with the 71 drive wheel.I try telling them my mods and its like they don't care, they still tell me dont get one.As soon as you say towing they stick to the htb2 62 turbo theory. I can wrap my 62-12 so fast and so hard i know i can spool something bigger with little lag.

Do you have EGT issues with your 62/12?

I don't have issues when driving sensibly or towing, but when I turn everything up and get on it hard egt's will reach 1500+ easy.My boost will rocket right past my 42lbs waste gaited set point. They will spike as high as 50lbs,which tells me my drive pressures are really high.If I didn't want to play at the track some my 62/12 is the perfect daily driver/tow turbo.

When I called them that is the exact same thing they told me. As soon as I said I tow occasionaly they tried to shove the 62 down my throat. I agree they base it on a stock truck. The other day I pulled my predator off to let a friend use it. I was very disappointed with my truck that day. I could not get over 22lbs of boost with my 64. And it was all it had to get up to 75mph. But with the predator I see spikes of 48 before it settles back down to 45. I have nothing bad to say about the htt 64/71/13.

I'm glad it's workin well for ya. That little wait was worth it huh. It's funny how it reponds on your truck because it responded the same way on mine. How are your egt's. I'm gald you post about it because to many peolpe say it's too big, To laggy, hard to spool blah blah blah. You as well as my self prove that it is very easy to drive with larger chargers on the street.

I highest egts I have seen are 1300 with the predator on extreme rkl and the puck on 90. With the stocker I could bury the needle at 1600. Yesterday I hooked up to a trailer for the first time. A 6000 lb enclosed trailer. Pulled it between 75-80 with predator on extreme and saw egts of 1200 going up hills. I would have to say the spool is not much different from the stocker. I didnt notice any surging and am very impressed with the performance of this turbo. I would recomend it to anyone as a good all-around turbo.

I'm looking at towing a 12,000 lb(total) gooseneck horse trailer and I tow probably 16-20 weekends out of the year 300-1000miles one way. This truck is my everyday driver but one of the biggest complaints I currently have with the truck is no low end when merging on to the freeway(pulling a trailer). I'm hopeing a turbo upgrade would fix this. I just ordered a smarty this morning and have a airdog 150 sitting in the garage awaiting warmer weather to install otherwise my mods are current and likely to remain this way for a long time.

However which turbo???...i've been told the HTT 62/65/13SS would be the best since I dont have the stixs upgraded(and dont plan on it unless needed due to failure) and I will not be going to twins so need to try and find the best fit option that will solve everything...LOL yeah right

Also looking at HTT 64/71/13 and II comparables, i guess the more I research this the more I'm getting confused.

Take a look at the Super B Special as well if you arent really towing with it. Great throttle response and will easily support 500hp
