Will I definitely notice a better turbo?
thing is with the stock turbo once you get above 30 psi its just not pushing the air efficiently the bigger turbo will help with this and causes better pull and power on the top end but going to big will hurt you on the lower end with spool so you have to balance it out for what your planning to do. but a 62/14 seems like it would be a good turbo for what you have. not sure about the superchips but with a smarty or ppe or edge juice you could do a 64/14
I had a 62/14 on till the other day and loved it just big enough to not notice with spool up but more efficient that stock to definately feel the top of the rpm range. I now have a 66 on and with no extra fuel it is slow to spool if at all with out a lot of pedal.

I have a 03 that has a smaller then 04.5+ so its pretty lame, anyways I have Smarty and found a good deal on a used Silverbullet for $1,400. After the install I wasnt impressed at all. I was expecting alot more because my stock turbo was really small. Felt like maybe 25 extra hp.
Talked to a friend and he said I needed to add pressure via MP8. Well that sure cured my problem. It added alot more seat of the pants power and an extra 50hp on the dyno.
This turbo will make a big difference in hp/tq as long as you add a pressure box. I like the power and adjustability of the MP8.
You will be dissapointed if you dont add pressure.

To me upgrading the turbo is more for decreased EGTs so you can run more fuel, therefor make more power. You should gain power with a larger turbo but that alone doesnt justify the cost to me. Just my 0.02.
Here is what I was following on e-bay. I have decided to pass. It is new and starting bid is $995.

Member "lmills" (Lloyd) here on DTR is a reseller and spent a lot of time helping me chose the right turbo then quoted me the best price. When I'm ready I'll be calling him.
