Will 17" Weld EVO's fit 05 2500?

17" Weld EVO's clear caliper on 05 2500?

I've read about issues with some 17" wheels not clearing the brake caliper. Is this issue mostly with the cast wheels? At this point, I'm not sure whether to order 17x8.5 or 18x8.5 Weld EVO's.

Anyone know?

The issue is mostly with Cast wheels, Welds are Forged as opposed to Cast, so I think they'd work fine.

Not being a 3rd genner, don't take my word for it, just voicing my IMHO.

Yes, a very tight 17", thus some aftermarket rims are a little too thick and won't clear the calipers.

Alright, I ended up ordering a set of Weld EVO Renegade 17x8.5 with 5-1/8" backspace today, along with some Cooper SST 35x12.5's. Hope I'm diggin the combo. They'll be used along with the KORE Chase System.
