Will a 04.5 Aftermarket Exhaust fit on an 06 w/o a cat?
Will a 04.5 Aftermarket Turbo Back Exhaust fit on an 06?
Just what the title says....I have an 06 that recently had the kitty stolen off the truck
...would an aftermarket MBRP/Silverline system for an 04.5 fit on my 06?? Thanks, Jason

The 03-04 systems will be a little different than the 04.5-06 models. So I do not think it will work, but I am not 100% sure.
It does seem strange though that MBRP would manufacture a system for 03-04 then a different one for 04.5-06 if they should all fit up. Dont you think?
Just my thoughts and I will try to help you if you need anymore assistance.

You don't need a full system. You already have it in the form of a 4'' system from the turbo all the way back. All you need to do, is cut the cat (if you want) and put in a piece of 4'' pipe. (Diesel Power Products I think sells a
"test" pipe to replace the Cat for "offroad"
applications) Then you can cut out the stock muff and put in a MBRP or Magnaflow or Nelson or whatever suits your taste. The Magnaflow sounds awesome.
If you want to go to a 5'' system, Magnaflow makes a full system but it is a little pricey, and it's louder.
03-04 trucks have a 3.5'' opening coming out of the turbo. I think they may have a different turbo altogether.
04.5 on up trucks have a 4'' opening.

ahhhh...thanks for the info Texas CTD and Solar. Well my thing is that i already cut out the cat and added a 5in to 4in reducer at the downpipe and threw in a 5 inch straight pipe all the way back with a turndown about a foot behind the cab. Yeah i know what your thinking, its loud as hell and i have to do something about it. I was wanting just to start over from the turbo back without having to grind the weld off but i guess im going to have to do that and add a 4 inch pipe from the downpipe so i could add an aftermarket system. OR, my other option is to leave it as is and put in a MBRP/Magnaflow muffler but i am now kind of concerned about how much soot is going to be left on my rearend/suspension with the turndown. What do yall think? The truck is stock, but i was going to start moding which would mean more smoke. Texas CTD, how loud is the Magnaflow, I always thought it was really quiet..i like loud but just not as loud as this...i do not tow so towing drone is not an issue with me. Also where did you buy your 30" Magnaflow? Thanks for your help, Jason
06Cummins,
So long as you don't have the factory resonator after the muffler you should check out the MBRP performance replacement muffler, easy bolt on install and sounds good too. Built from 409 stainless and has the welded hangers to re use the stock rubber mounts etc. Lots of members have them and will pipe in to tell you what they think if you make a post asking about the MBRP performance replacement muffler. We also have cat test pipes if you off road or race too.

You can get the Magnaflow from lots of different dealers. A friend of mine actually got mine for me, so I really don't even know where he got it.
I am running 4'' pipe straight from the turbo into the Mag and out the tailpipe with a 5'' extension. Sounds awesome around 2200-2500 rpms and higher. Idle, isn't much louder than stock but has a deeper rumble. I also have an AFE stage 2 air intake and that is where all my noise comes from with the turbo spooling. I don't really notice the exhaust otherwise until around 2200 rpms. It is louder outside the truck, however. I have set off a couple of car alarms just driving by.
