I used an isolator stainless braided line and a sender from Autometer. Been fine for quite awhile now. Had to use the pressure adjustment screen on my Commander to get it to read exact, but it reads the same as my mechanical guage I plumbed in too. Read my posts in this thread for numbers and such.

I had a problem with mine on my 06 for a while. Called Quad and was going to get a new unit under warranty. Ended up finding out I had an air bubble in the sending unit. Reinstalled it with a banjo bolt full of fuel and never had a problem with it again. My question is, will it work on my 08? I pulled it out before I traded my 06 in.

Mine shot a crap as well. Another sore subject. Am looking into an alternative solution as well. Why wouldnt an oil pressure gauge from autozone or some other parts store work?

I had a similar experience with my RP gauge. My truck started stumbling and idling rough. Unplugged the gauge and everything was back to normal. Sent it off to Quad and they, “Twisted the connection pins on the plug for a better fit.” Yeah, great fix. Reinstalled the connection and my truck still idles rough. I have since unplugged it again, not worth the way it makes my truck run. I wish I could find a better gauge.

I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th rp gauge. They've all worked perfectly, then just give out with no notice. I have always relied on quad's excellent customer service, and they've always backed their product and sent me a new gauge.

I went through 4 and finally got tired of the hassle and expense of sending the old one back and getting a new one, only for it to fail within hours. I think I averaged about 2 starts on each gauge before they died.

They would always not be working on startup, never a failure during driving or anything like that. I tried different power and ground connections that Quad suggested without any effect.

I've had mine on for 1.5 years with no problems. Reads LP and FR with steady readout. I do have my sender mounted remotely. I think that may prevent a lot of the issues with the sending unit.

Thats what I finally did, and it seems to have cured all my issues!

Part numbers for those who want to try it. 3227 Autometer isolator hose and 2242 sender
