Sometimes the source is the best bet.

Cummins Powerstore.
It looks similiar, but it is self locking, the one in the pic above looks like it uses the reciever pin to hold it in.

after my 4" drop hitch saved my rear bumper one time already from a ford ranger, i will always leave a hitch in... gotta love walking back cussing the guy out under my breath just to find a big hole in his front bumper and not a scratch on my truck!

I agree...I leave mine in for that very reason.

Hey thanks for the replies.

You guys gave me a better idea and i guess i'll do the same.I have this Reese drop mount hitch along with all the weight distribution system taking up space in my garage that i used when i had the TT/Van.It's kinda huge, but should save my rear-end from a little damage in case anyone accidently got to close

I always left my 10" drop hitch in. Even though I loved my Peterbilt hitch cover I made, I felt safer with the hitch in.

Leaving hitch in can be bad

A buddy of mine left his hitch in and got rearended hard by a Tahoe. He thinks that the hitch took most of the hit, which in turn bent the frame on his truck. So leaving the hitch in can be good and bad.
