Where can I get an X Monitor installed in Minnesota?

I have a 2003 3500 with HO. Also, where is the best place to buy the X Monitor if a local place doesn't sell it?

I don't know this for a fact, but you may want to try the Truxstor ( a couple of locations in the Twin Cities). I know they sold Banks for a while and also sell and install other aftermarket truck accessories. I have not personally used them, but probably worth a call.

Or get your local chapter together and do it ourselves

 

maybe this would be a good project for our first chapter get together.

a few knowledgeable people working together could whip this out in a few hours easy

 

I installed mine myself. It was about a 1-1/2 hour job. Only real pain was drilling and taping the EGT port.

 

This is exactly the part I don't want to do and am willing to pay for.

The X Monitor on my F-350 was installed in an hour or so by someone who had never even seen one before. He had installed other gauges before, so the EGT probe was a snap for him.

The guy liked it so much he got one for his truck.

Who has the cheapest price on the X-Monitor online? I wonder if they will get cheaper now that the Edge Attitude monitor (just the monitor) is available for 2003/2004 trucks for $250.

 

Where is the Edge Attitude Monitor available seperately? I don't see it any websites or anything.

I've tried calling Edge several times and can never talk to anyone there.

You can't use it seperate, you have to use it with the Juice to make it work.

 

The other poster seemed to imply that it was available standalone without a module.

The two products are completely different, so I'm not sure why someone was comparing the price.

Belfert......According to the web site below, it implies that the Edge Attitude Monitor (just the monitor) is available for the 2003 Cummins and is the second site I have stumbled across that implies this (don’t remember the other). If this is the case, understanding that all of the features may not work without the Juice box, it would still give you a really nice digital gauge (boost/pyro/trans) for your Cummins for $100 to $200 less than the X-Monitor, depending on the X-Monitor model you chose.

I haven't called them so I don't know for sure, but if the Attitude is available for the 03/04 and this is not just a misprint, you would think this would eventually bring the prices down on the X-Monitor as the Attitude Monitor grows in popularity. Might be worth checking into for someone about to purchase the X-Monitor….could save big $$$.

 

So what's the street price on the X-monitor now?
I'll be ordering mine in the next month or so.

BTW - if I go post turbo can I just drill/tap or do I need to weld a fitting on the pipe? My buddy can weld for me but I'm not sure I trust him to do it unless I pull the pipe out first... how much effort will that be? Just a-plannin' thanx.
