right now i have 315/70/17 bfg's, i like the tire size and don't want to lift the truck due to towing. question is i have heard about aluminum rims breaking and shearing lugs when putting loads of power down, i'd prefer steel rims, wagon wheel D-hole type like the daytonas, but i have not been able to find them or any like it for the 17" size. i am trying to keep the truck gray and black only, hate chrome!!! any wheel suggestions or links to sites? black wheels!!!

There's basically 2 kinds of aluminum/alloy wheels: cast and forged. Cast are relatively weak. I would never run cast wheels on a HD pickup. If you do and they break, you have nobody to blame but yourself. Well made forged aluminum wheels are strong. Just look at the weight ratings.
