Wheel/Fender Flare/Grille Opinions Please

Ok guys, just today I picked up a set of Sport bumpers for my 04 2500.

I'm planning to paint them this weekend possibly, and install them shortly after. I'll paint the grille along with the bumpers at the same time. That will complete the chrome removal I've been wanting to do, now for the wheels.

Here is a photo of Hemi Freak's dodge from DTO (please let me know if you want me to remove these):

A nice truck, indeed! However, I want to lose the chrome and go mono-tone...as well as get the Black version of the same wheels, the Moto Metal 951's (cheaper, and I want black wheels):

Now, should I go with white flares, or black flares?

I can't decide...I'm thinking I'll put them on the original black that they come in...and if I don't like it, I can always paint them white.

Whatcha think on the wheels? How does the black look? I wish I could find a white sport model with these black wheels before I bought them...but I think it's the look I'm after.

Now, should I stick with the factory black honeycomb grille? Go with a black speed grille (mesh), or go with a factory Sport plastic billet grille? Do they make a black grille that looks like the billet grille? Can't decide on this...but I'm thinking I like the Street Scene Speed Grille, in black.

Take care

I like the black wheels as I hate bling but I prefer the white flares.

Paint the flares.

Preserve the clean white look and paint the flares. They are easier to paint when they're off the truck and you're guaranteed that they won't look bad painted. The could look bad unpainted though. I really like the sport trim package and wish I'd been able to get it instead of my shiny laramie trim.

Sport Bumpers

Just curious where you found the sport bumpers and how much they were. I too wanted a sport model, but got too good of a deal on this one to turn it down. PM me with price if more comfortable. Thanks

what brand are the fender flares, as i just bought an 06 and want to put fender flares on as well. I like the painted ones the best on your truck, makes it really clean, crisp look. I am also curious about the sport bumper?? Thanks alot, nice truck.

I found the sport bumpers on ebay, and got a great deal on them.

Shoot me a PM if you want the guy's ebay name and what not. He doesn't have any others right now, but does get a set now and then.

As for the flares, I'm not sure what kind they are, it's not my truck (I just used it as an example to edit it in photoshop).

What about this truck, does this truck with chrome look better then the above with black wheels?

I am having a toss up between the white flares with chrome wheels or white flares with black wheels. I think the black flares are ruled out.

So, it's between these two:

Whathca think?

My biggest concern with the chrome wheels is the fact that everyone around here is running a 20" chrome wheel on their trucks. I have seen 2 or 3 with black wheels, very few...and they looked nice. I definitely like the chrome though. Other than that, the black wheels are a lot cheaper!

Nobody who actually goes four wheeling around here has 20" rims. 18's are the biggest I've seen wrapped with the most sidewall they could get for rock protection.

I like the idea of getting black ones but those chrome (are they eagle 114's) look a lot better.

Runamuk,

I wont be playing in any mud...all of my off-roading is done in sand...very little damage to wheels, if any.

Icrider,

They are Weld Velociti 8's, similar to the eagle 114's.
