what's the difference: MP-8 vs Edge EZ?

Hey all,
been reading a lot lately ... not much work lately. (bad combo! no work, but stoking the need for truck parts! )

Someone help me understand the difference between the MP-8 and the Edge EZ. I know both do pressure. I know too much pressure is a bad thing. But moderate pressure can be a good thing.

I've got an EZ sitting in my garage. I've got a J/A (hot) on my truck. I've been reading it's OK to stack them, since the 04.5 Juice's don't add pressure. But J/A hot, on 6, does THAT add pressure?

Some think it's great, some don't ...

popular setup (that I want) looks like MP-8 + Smarty jr + real gauges, but I'm gonna have to live with what I have for a while.

thoughts?

just looking for a little extra. Only run J/A on 5 or 6 RARELY, for fun. Not into killing the truck.
-thanks

The edge Juice/Attitude and EZ are both chips, are you sure they will stack together?

The Edge EZ and the Edge Juice/Attitude will stack great together. The main difference between the EZ and MP8 is the control switch/****. The EZ has only three settings Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and no completely off position. The MP8 has a rheostat type switch and theoretically the adjustment ranges from 0% to 100% and anything in between.

I ran the EZ stacked with the HOT Juice/Attitude on my 04.5 for a good while. Great stack and no codes or probablems when I was running them.

Well, what REALLY is different in addition to the things mentioned above:

The MP-8 has some awesome boost-fooling characteristics. They send a higher boost signal to the ecm at low boost fooling it into increasing timing a bit and also fueling sooner. This results in MUCH better bottom-end response than the EZ. If you're running a TST, it makes the TST much more easy to drive at higher settings. Plus, it gets the TST to dump more fuel earlier.

Don't get me wrong, the EZ is a great box, just not as agressive as the MP-8.

The MP-8 stacks better with the Smarty in my opinion.

Both the EZ and MP-8 will stack fine with the Juice/Attitude in your '04.5.

good to know, thanks guys.

I don't need it too aggressive, just fun and safe, and good SOTP around town. I don't have much in the way of supporting mods, so I can't go crazy on the boxes.
