i am getting ready to buy what motor is better the 5.9 ho or the 6.7 please help

 

I'd buy a 5.9 so I don't have to deal with the DPF.

 

I think it depends on what you are going to do with your truck. Right now if you going to be modding it, then the 5.9 is the way too go. The 6.7 is still new with very few mods and as Pauly pointed out it has a DPF.

On the other hand, the 6.7 comes with a 6-spd auto, which is pretty cool and factory exhaust brake, also cool. And I'm sure it probably pulls pretty well.

On the flip side, it's a new motor, first year out. I usually try to stay away from first year motors, let the kinks get worked out first...case-n-point the pwr stroke.

I've heard good and bad about the 6.7 liter. I've heard people say they run good as can be, but some have said that their is power lag. I just recently bout the 5.9, and like it

 

As previously said
Go with the 5.9 reason being never bye a motor on a first year run.
I think the 6.7 well turn out to be a good quality motor but maybe next year.
