Whats better
Whats better
Will a shift kit do the same for my 96 auto that a good VB from DTT or ATS?
What it the plus and minus to a Shift kit compaired to a VB?
What will the shift kit to when it comes to how hard the shifts are smooth them out or make them harder?
When the tranny shifts you can hardly tell because the rpm's don't drop, will the VB or shift kit make them drop and actually do something when it shifts?
I plan to put a new TC in while I'm at it. maybe a suncoast or something along those lines. This is strickly a tow truck and will be set around 280HP maybe 300HP at the most.
Thanks

The Converter is what will drop your rpm's on shifts. My shift kit firmed up my shifts, and made it shift quicker instead of hanging shifts. It also increased line pressure to help the TC hold. A built VB may be better than a shift kit, but dont know if it is $300 better or not...I gave $50 for mine on ebay. You can buy them on there now for about $70. Im really glad i put one in mine.
