Whats The Best Intake System?

Currently i have the airaid drop-in, stock air box (swiss cheese) this combo gave me 2HP according to dyno. I have read that the complete intake system gives an extra 30-40HP, is this true? I know it sould give 30-40% air flow, but 30-40HP, i do not know. What do you guys think is the best intake system for horsepower and not sacrificing reliability to motor? Any advice would be appreciated, i am looking to buy a full intake system.

If I was going to buy one today I'd go with a Scotty Air Systems intake.

I do not think you will get 30-40 hp with a mildly modified truck.

I like our kits, we sell a ton of them as they are priced well and they have great high flow filters in them. I have never had a dust problem with them and I live in the country and travel a lot of gravel roads every day!

I vote AFE Stage 2. It sounds like a jet engine at takeoff. They flow alot of air and oil analysis results show it to clean the air better than the stock intake (on my truck). But they are not cheap.

Also, don't expect alot of hp gain from an air intake alone. They won't make much difference until your truck is more highly modified.

I just installed (last weekend) a S&B setup... clean and easy and relativily inexpensive (I paid under $180 delivered). So far I love the turbo whine and "seat of the pants" power increase.. Good filtration #s according to the ISO testing.

I have a feeling i will go with the Bullydog RFI cold air. They told me that it would add another 14hp or so, plus lower the EGT's. That's a good thing.

S&B with a "DRYFLOW" filter, Best of both worlds.
