whats the best commonrail

what year is the best for the 5.9 cr i am building a another fordcummins and am not too familiar with the cr

My vote goes to the '03-04 555. But I'm a little biased.

03-04 get awsome fuel ecomomy and can be modded pretty good

04.5-06 get way better horsepower numbers the computers are way bigger and you can play with them more

i have an 03 and love it

most kits i have looked at use 03cr engines

The '04.5 and newer (600 and 610) can make more power but also is a little more finicky with the injectors. Also a penalty with lower fuel economy.

A good old Fummins. I like my 04.5 but I think all the CR engines make good power. They all seem to have their own combination of power adders that they like.

that is true just pick your beast in the CR family and you will be happy

and there so easy to drive

got to love smooth power curve of the cr

The 05's are supposedly the best flowing heads. Other than that I like my 03,, especially now that there is more stuff for our smaller computer,, lol,,

i like the way the 12v's sound and it seems like they can crank out the power too, plus less electronics to go wrong.
