Really? IT'S RUNNING ON MY TRUCK, PERIOD. I do understand that Crazy Larry does not at as much power on an 03 but it still exists. I'm getting so tired of this arguement. Thank you for the tip but I really don't need to be told it does not exist or to buy a smarty(Not you I know. But all of questions always seem get flamed by smarty supporters). Maybe I should just take a video of it loading into the truck and running......

I never said it didn't run on your truck. The Triple Dog reads your truck as an 03 and loads in Extreme mode although it says Crazy Larry on the Triple Dog.

If you still don't believe me, find a 04.5+ truck and put crazy larry on that. You'll be shocked at the difference.

ive put Scary Larry on anything from 03-06. I know how it works

 

I loaded it on my buddys 04.5 last sunday so I know there is a big difference and that is weak on an 03. My only issue is that "Extreme" or "Crazy Larry" feels no different than tow safe and thats what I'm trying to figure out.

 

There is a reason for it being different from day to day. The triple dog doesn't load three programs into the ECM. It is one program. When you change the settings, it changes different triggers in the map. It is kinda simple. We do it all the time when we do simple NOS setups on some mustangs. This is done with the air intake temp sensor. When we hit the button and the Sensor reads the cold air, it goes into a different map (reduced timing and rich). For this reason the triple dog, it can lock into different settings until you play with it.

Put a Smarty on it and be happy. "Set it and forget it"

 

agreed....Smarty does work better than Bullydog on 03-04's, no contest.

 

The Pinks truck had a custom tune called pressure Larry commonly known as pedofile Larry. Bully Dog Customer service wrote that tune specifically for that truck.

 

Why buy a smarty and set it and forget it? I do that with bullydog and I have the monitor!!!

good point....cause of the whole "03-and-below-no-larry-programs" thing.... I didnt think of that. I just read a post by Bud at customer service telling the story. but like i said it was wrote for that truck specifically so im sure they propably could have circumvented whatever it is on the older ones.

 

Yeah, but that BD will never put the power down that a Smarty will on an 03-04. Isn't that what we're talking about here?
