What type of fuse?
In the back of my truck I run a couple of 12v Viair compressors and a small inverter. If everything is running at the same time the current draw is 52 amps. Using a 0000 welding cable from the battery to these units. Installed this years ago and at the time could not locally find a suitable fuse to install at the battery, so made my own.
What suitable fuse or breaker is now available from NAPA, Autozone etc that will work for this? Should I use a fuse, or is an automatic reset breaker better? What about the fuses that are used on high powered sound systems? What size of fuse for a 52 amp max draw?
Whatever I use needs to be waterproof as it will be mounted very close to the battery.

DC Power Protection
Suggest you contact your local supplier of Solar Power systems. Try someone doing industrial or grid-tie systems as they will have the knowledge and most likely the correct fuse/block to protect your DC supply. Hope this helps- Rich.

This what I use on my setup though this one is rated for 50 amps (a little low for your needs) and waterproof they also have an 80 amp. I would guess you could find them in other amperages.
