Aloha again, I'm looking to pick me up some dual 7" mitre cut stacks for my 06 megacab 2500. Which set should I go with? Do I need an internal muffler? Will the exhaust get too loud? I'll also be adding a smarty jr and a cold air intake. Any ideas on a good intake as well? Any suggestions are appreciated.

 

Well o-mega, I got mine from black cloud unfinished (not chromed) and they were nice and heavy gauged material. I also bought a 5'' (1st time around) from the chrome room powder coated black, same story.

I hunted for the best price, too. I didn't get anyones' kit, bought pieces from diff. places to save money. My splitter (5'') was only $55 from a place over in the midwest (I could look it up). I originally bought my tb 5'' off ebay and just kept their muff. (fullspectrumperformance- ebay store). I like the way my truck sounds and I don't have any 'drone' at all. I don't have to yell to talk unless I have my windows down of cource.

Intake wise, stay with afe or S&B's set ups, both are nice.

 

I got mine from Iowa80.com and they are 3 years old and i park my truck 50 feet from the atlantic ocean evrynight at home. They dont have a spec of rust on them and there made in the good ole USA.

 

I love how mine sound, i also still have the cat on...

 

I also have my cat still in place. Actually sounds real good. Louder than stock, but not too loud in my opinion.

Mine are Grand Rocks. Got them from Dominator Diesel in Idaho, because at the time they had the lowest price for the stcks as well as the bed kit. I wasnt expecting them for 6 weeks or so, but got them pretty close to a week. I was real surprised
