my friend is wanting to try my smarty on his truck. Its a 03 and i thought i remember seeing somewhere the settings for the 03 trucks are different than for the 04.5 and up trucks. is this true or are they the same? He has an edge on it now. If you turn the edge on 0 is it actually on stock to try the smarty or should you unhook the edge somehow? don't know much bout the edges. told him when he bout it to buy a smarty but he thought he knew best? thanks

 

if his trucks mostly stock i wouldnt run over #5

 

edge off even odd #'s on smarty...prob #5 will even slip a 5 year old auto under wot

by the way on 03' 04' hos, smarty beta 4.2 on sw#7 is the business...monster power for those trucks...but you will def. need a built tranny before too long...

 

Shoot.....4.2 on lvl 7 I would think would rip that stock tranny a new one in NO TIME FLAT!

 

yes sir! I doubt he has the betas, just let him try level 7 on the reg Smarty WITH SOME SENSE!!, but don't let him beat on it once the converter is locked, that's how I've done the most damage to 2 other trannies. WOT from a dead stop is better than slipping the converter.
