Rail presure reading's in regards to CP3?

I have been following posts on rail pressure and what is required for high hp trucks using injectors/Smarty and such. I've been told that the flux 1.8's Im putting in will work well as long as my CP3 is in good shape....well Im trying to determine that by monitoring my Quad rail pressure gauge as I dont have a fuel psi gauge anymore. Anyway, with my stock injectors and my Smarty on lvl 5 beta 4.2, I am seeing 24k ish? I dont exactly know for sure if its saying Im hitting 24k or 2,400k, the numbers dont go up that high. However, I have read that you want to keep around 24k while WOT?

What should the Quad rail pressure gauge be reading while on WOT runs? (ie. what numbers should I be seeing if my CP3 is in good shape, or can I even tell this by the RP gauge?)

If you can maintain 24k on RP at WOT... you are doing just fine, no worries. That is a sweetspot with 26k being the max you want to see anyway. Stock max is about 23k.

The RP reading is a direct reflection of what your cp-3 is doing. If the pump isn't keeping up, your RP won't be up in the range you are needing. 24K -27K is ideal under WOT.Will your stock cp-3 keep up with 1.8's?Just depends on the condition of the pump. Some people have some very strong stock cp-3's,some don't.Your RP gauge will tell all once the sticks are installed

So If Im seeing spike in the 24k range I should be good to go, ...well at least until I put my sticks in? Once the sticks are in again I'll definately probably see a difference. Hopefully it will stay in the sweet spot range, but thats wishfull thinking!

What happens when its reading lower than 24k?

Even marginal pumps will make 24k, the real indication is in ramp up rate. How long it takes to make pressure is what determines a CP3's capabilities. Make pressure qiuicker and maintain it, you will make more power.

Ahh...well that makes sense. Its seems to be ramping up decently quick now, at least from what I can tell.

I think your actually the person who I need to talk to anyway, Shane right? Well I have been looking into your Arson II kit I belive. Its the parts to modify the existing pump, and from what I can tell will be all that I will need. Is that correct?

Can you tell me a bit more about the kit and the pressure it will add? Additionally I would like to know more about what all is intailed for install, ie. how hard is it to do?

Thanks,
