im seeing alot of guys stacking the smarty w/ a boost fooler. why is this? does the smarty add boost on a stock truck by itself or would i need to stack it w/ something or upgrade the turbo? i just got a smarty s06 the other day and havent installed it yet. i will most likely run it on sw3 or sw5, will i see more boost w/ either setting? what about higher settings?

I am fairly sure you need to run the Aftermarket Turbo SW to get the boost fooling.

 

I do not think it boost fools out of the box.Just did some highway full throttle runs only hits 30# boost then drops back and forth from 28# to 30#. My superchips would hit 40 to 42 then Drop to 30# at wot runs. Am going to try after market turbo next to see if it helps.

 

stock smarty software retains boost limit, aftermarket turbo software alows higher boost.
its not actualy " boost fooling" its an extended bost map.... in otherwords instead of tricking the ecm into thinking it only hit 30 psi, it actualy knows what to do with the extra air...

i just spoke w/ bob wagner and he said it does do "boost fooling" so to speak out of the box. he said it would be more noticable the higher you go in levels. he said i have the new 4.11 mild tq program.
