what mods to add?

I have a 2004 with 5.9. I am looking to add something for more power. I have looked at the six gun, edge products, and the hypertech programer. I am specifically looking at the six gun. Is it safe to add these without doing anything else besides putting gauges in. Is there any other products like the ones i mentioned that are better?

I like the Edge EZ, never had a problem with it. If you go with the Speed Loader, I believe you will have to dig a little deeper into your pocket, ie., intake and exhaust. You will need to do this to keep the EGT's under control. Though, the intake and exhaust would be first on my list anyways, then EGT gauge and then the box.

And which tranny do you have? If you have the auto, I would stay on the mild side of the fueling/timing boxes.

Also, no matter which box/system you go with, I would highly recommend getting an EGT gauge. I would not rely upon a box alone to tell you the EGTs, some are not giving accurate numbers from what I have read hear. A seperate, simple old fashioned gauge would be the way to go in my book.

Drilled air box, Edge EZ or the VA C3.1 and gauges. If you want to keep it simple and safe.

Last night I also found out about the Bullydog power pup and it seemed to have a reasonable price. What do ya'll think about it?

Lots of power. Very smooth. Excellent bang for the buck.

Ditto on the Power Pup. Nice and smooth, and a good bang for the buck. I have mine stacked with the Edge EZ, both set to the max. Power is awesome, to say the least. I would still do the gauge, exhaust and intake though. You should be good on the tranny, you'll know when she slips.
