what fuse to tap into....

what fuse to tap into....

im finally getting around to installing my gages and getting rid of the bd outlook. I was wondering what fuse to tap the pyro, boost into

If your talking about for the lights then I would use the trailer lights fuse not sure what number it is and for the pyro power you want something that comes on with the key. If you take the lid off the fuse box under the hood all the fuses are listed on the underside of the lid.

For the lights to dim or brighten on the gauges, you can pull off the panel with the light switch on it. Look at the bottom of the plug in and there is an orange/brown striped wire in the center.(only two rows of wires, 3 on top 2 on bottom) That is the dimmer and light control, you can just tap into that. That is how I did the lights, but the rest was done as described above, for the actual power going to the pyro to make it work.

why not just use a blank in the fuse panel? That's what I did w/ my snow plow. There should be a couple of spare fuses in there.

if i did that would the lights always be on or turn on when i turn the lights on? I want it so when i turn the lights on the lights in the gages turn on.
