what to do next?

well right now i have pretty much the basics. cai, tripple dog with crazy larry but usually run tow or performance, str8 exhaust to a single stack, SBC 3600DD clutch, and a pyro and boost gauge. im looking to make 500hp and over 1000ftlbs at the wheels right now i make 431hp and 858ftlbs on the dyno but i know im draining the rail just by watching it blow smoke hard then about around 2k-2.5k or so it cleans out. so im ordering a AD150 and fuel and rail preasure gauges to put in all at once and installing in the spring just because i hate working on my truck with all that sand and crap(its new england gotta love the winter) all over it so a 2hr job takes you 4hr because you have to clean it up nice so u dont get sand and salt in there while your working, ill wait till spring and clean it once. so what do you guys think i should do to acomplish this goal. The bully dog is coming out becuase i dont like the way the power hits, it seems like its 1 big bang rather than nice and smooth through out the rpm and im going to run the smarty sense its the best thing sense sliced bread for these trucks and i like the adjustability un like the bully. from reading around tho its sounds like you need to buy the 1 for you set up wether its just the revo or the TNT ect. the 500hp will be a daily driver from going to the store to towing a trailer so it needs to be reliable and pulling a weight transfer sled once a year. Im just not sure because i see alot of people and with different variations to create this power but i need to figure one out that will be best for me and what ill be doing with it. thanks for the help

add some pressure and you can get pretty close and if worse comes to worse add injectors or water/meth.

I don't know of a BDDL w/pressure box truck making 500+, but I do know of Smarty w/pressure box trucks making 550+ on stock fueling systems (it's not good for the CP3 though). I also think there are some diablo and PPE powered trucks over 500hp too. Maybe some Bully Dog guys will chime in and tell what works best w/ BDDLs.

im taking the bully dog out of the truck and going to run one of the smarty's dont know wich set up tho. i read some where that certian smarty programs are better for different set ups(injectors turbo's modded cp3 ect.) i dont really care for the way the bully puts on its power and really like how adjustable the smarty is.

im also not looking to get 500hp just to say i have it i would like it to be reliable where i dont have to worry about burning up the injectors or cp3 unless it can handle it with no worries.

i was just talking to a guy and his first question was y do you need that much power and i told him basically y not. he also asked y i didnt like the bdtd and i told him that i felt when i was driving it on lets say performance just for regular driving, (dont have extreme only have crazy larry and dont like the fact it can crack injectors plus need fuel pump to run it), i dont like the fact that you can put your foot about 3/4's of the way into it with out feeling any more power then a little more its like a smack in the butt so the power isnt until its up top. He told me to take it out and put on the smarty and adjust it to right about the same power level and with a little tap of the foot when raining and the tires will be spinning where the bully dog you would have to get into the throttle alot harder and wich will put you higher in the rpm to light them upso if your not careful you will rev that motor right out. he told me to try that first before sinking alot of money into and see if i like the power more he said the smarty has alot more power and is hard down bottom smooth all the way up rather than the BD where its like stock then like hitting a nos button. Is this true i dont have any experience with the smarty.

The smarty can be pretty much anything you want...bottom, top, mid, all, smooth or agro.....it all depends on what software and what settings for that software...it's all the same hardware / unit.

Examples:

1. Beta 4.2 / 4.3 / 4.4 = diff levels of agro
2. Revo Mild Settings = smooth daily driver / mileage
3. Revo Wild Settings = Moderate agro
4. TnT or TnT R = $'s for supporting mods but up to 230 agro hp

2-4 above let you change timing, tq mgmt, rail pressure....so there's a lot of control to determine power characteristics....

Getting to 500hp probably isnt too difficult..but making it reliable will require the basics (CAI, Guages, Free Flowing Muffler or Exhaust) + Fuel Pump (FASS or AirDog) + Clutch / Trans Work + a turbo if you want to keep it cool on agro levels

and to run TnT / TnT-R for all they're worth...you need another $Xk of CP3 Mods / Injectors / Springs / other... but that'll also significantly exceed 500hp

Buy it here....there's no place cheaper for a smarty....no need to specify Revo...thats just one version of the available free software......enjoy.

My other question is what is better buy the revo and adjusting rp and torque and all that of stacking the smarty with a mp8 or ts? Would i be better off just stacking the BDTD to get more power downlow? Doesnt really matter wich route I take, doesnt really bother me or if Im better off just buying the smarty revo. Just looking for opinions.

I think the smarty is hard to beat...but if you just want more bottom end and you're happy with the other features of the BD...then perhaps a MP8 would solve the issue and be cheaper...but i cant personally comment on how a BD/MP8 would work...as i've never used either.
