What to do on my 2006?

Some of you guys might have seen my other thread about totaling my 03. I've got a new 06 Mega and I want to do some modifications, but I don't think I'll go down the road I was heading with my 03.

I'm thinking basic, simple and clean on my 06. Most of the boxes off my 03 will be put up for sale (as soon as I get them off my truck). The only thing I'm thinking of keeping is my SMARTY, but it may not work on the 06. Apparently the S04 model does not work on the 06 trucks? I PM'd Bob a couple times but he hasn't had a chance to get back with me yet. If any of you guys know the answer on the SMARTY please let me know.

So here is my thought. I may not upgrade my tranny again. Even though I loved my DTT I'm not sure I'll do it on this truck. I loved my gauges (Pricol), but I don't think I'll do those again either. I had the TST, EZ, Predator, MP8 and SMARTY on my last truck. I liked all the boxes, but I'm not sure any of them will go on the 06. So I'm thinking of Gauge/module combo like the Edge/Juice or the Quad Commander/ Quad product or with downloader (SMARTY or Predator). Obviously I will have to keep everything turned down, but I'm having a hard time driving my stock truck and I've only had it for two days . Which way would you guys go and why?

Sorry for the long thread, but I appreciate all you guys help.

On my 06, which is used mostly for towing a TT I used the XZT tow box, cold air intake, and im happy with that, I want to keep it reliable, I have more than enough power to tow 8 to 9 thous pounds, and i get very good mileage on the highway to boot,

I say Quad Commander and either XZT or Xzillaraider Std. and call it quits. Good power, tows very well, and is relatively easy on the drivetrain.

Once your done with that give Don Thuren a call and do the suspension. Best mod available, if you ask me.

I say intake, mbrp muffler, smarty (level 3) and quad commander....then if you get the itch, everything's ready for more mods....

Curious, i'm saving for a dtt trans upgrade....why don't you want to do that again, even if kept stock or near stock...i've never driven a truck w/ a beefed up trans, but i was under the impression that they make a world of difference for drivability / efficiency and power holding capacity.

With regards to the Smarty.....I had an 01 with Smarty, traded for an 06. Bob let me send the 01 Smarty back for an upgrade to my 06 for a verry small fee, call him....he will fix you up.

The smarty you have will work on your 06. However a smarty for the 04.5+ will not work on any thing previous to 04.5. You may have to update your software.
