What are the best gauges. I like the dual Westach gauge with Boost & EGT.
Is is a reliable unit? Are there better options??

Westach is very good. They also make instrumentation for light aircraft.

Westach is great for a 6 speed truck. I read some test (TDR maybe) comparing Westach, Isspro, DiPricol, etc. I think they were all accurate. But the Westach was the fastest. I think it said that the Westach took less than a second to read accurate, where the Isspro (what I had before the westach) took quite a bit longer.

I pulled this all out of my impaired memory, so yhou should check it out yourself.

I definitely noticed that my truck did not run as cool as I thought it did when I went from to my Isspros to my Westach. On a stick shift, with such a short RPM range, I believe I would be off the throttle and shifting before the Isspro EGT gave me an accurate reading on the WOT EGT was. It may have been just too slow. If I recall the test accurately, it was like 3 seconds for the Isspro to give an accurate reading.

Yeah, the Westach's are quick for analog. I found mine to be accurate and reliable. I had two pyrometers, and they were very close to each other (in terms of readings).

But SPA's are athe quickest!
