I noticed a leak from the tranny a couple of days ago so i took her to the dealer to see if they could find/fix the problem and to also have a trans service done. They called me and told me that the Trans temp gauge sender was broken and the cause of the leak. They told me they removed it and put a plug in its place to cure the leak. As for the trans service they were to clean the filter, replace he gasket, and tighten the "bands". Well they also tell me that the fluid looked "burned" and should be replaced and that the bands, which were supposed to have 1/4 inch of play, had about an inch of play. Are they sellin me BS or does this sound right at all? And i havent seen the probe for the tranny, but is it possible to break one?

Why would they remove something that was put there at the factory? Just to fix a leak........not acceptable.

 

is the probe for the gauges that you have? if so then thats why they plugged it. as for the bands i have no idea. good luck with the dealer.im sure they have you best interest in mind
